Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workload and work environment on teacher work stress at SMK Negeri I Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province. The research includes causal associative research with a quantitative approach. The respondents in this study were 34 people who were teachers at SMK Negeri I, Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, data analysis testing uses validity, reliability, classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression tests.

The results of the analysis show that the workload variable has a positive and partially significant effect on teacher work stress. The coefficient test results obtained for the effect of work load on work stress show the results of the T test that the tcount value of 4.330 is greater than the ttable of 1.695. Meanwhile, work environment variables do not have a significant effect on teacher work stress. Coefficient testing shows that the T test results show that the t value is 0.618 which is smaller than the t table of 1.695. However, together both can have an influence on teacher work stress. The results of simultaneous regression coefficient testing obtained fcount of 12,863 which is greater than ftable of 3.30.
